Might have a shop in glendale/los angeles do the welding. My father used them for fabrication on his cars and ill have to arrange possibly two weeks from now.

In an alternative scenario I could probably have ballade do it, but I'm afraid the fabrication rate is gonna burn a hole in my wallet.

Ballade is a drive for me also but I go to oc occassionally to drink coffee...

For you guys that are building a custom muffler section, I suggest you try for the longest exhaust tip that still looks good. Also try to make the piping from the mid-pipe to the muffler as long as long as you can (but no more than 36"). Making these pipes longer will reduce drone.

Just wanted to add some input on Gernby's midpipe. I had the chance to take some laps in his car at the track. This is definitely the most powerful S2000 I've ever driven. The midrange power was really helpful pulling out of the corners and resulted in a lot less shifting. I usually need to go to 2nd in a couple places at MSR in the S2000 but it wasn't necessary in Gernby's car. Kudos to Greg for coming up with a great new product that isn't just a variation of the same old thing everybody else is making.

One more note. Greg's setup really just feels more like a 6-cyl instead of a 4-cyl. It pulls hard down the straights like a cayman/boxster S.

Ill be installing the gernpipe and ballade IM. Probably will have church do the tuning unless I try autowave. Could also verify on racelines dynojet research since I have 'baselines' at both places.
Who is going to do your install of the midpipe? I'm in SoCal too and will be looking for a quality welder to do the work on mine. but I'm north of LA, pretty far from OC where Balade is located.

However, I had shoulder surgery 2 weeks ago and can barely drive w/ a manual tranny yet, so I don't know when mine will be installed. I will be installing it with a Vibrant muffler which I already purchased.
Hey Vitt,

Royal Mufflers in Chatsworth does EXCELLENT exhaust welding. Jimmy is a little on the expensive side as he works on higher end cars and charges a premium.

I got my custom exhaust, cut out, and dump tube done there and couldn't be happier.

Let me know when you might go. I'd love to see this midpipe! Too bad it's not applicable to the FI crowd

Hey thanks for the info. I'll keep you posted about when I go. You can certainly take a drive once installed and tuned. I didn't know you were FI now!
