30k should be purple almost pink and yeah the higher kelvin you go the less visibility you get. you should not go higher than 6000k maybe even 8000k as the higher temperature will give you less visibility, but also could cause damage to wires and housing. theres no such as 'upgraded' wires to compensate for it. 55watt is also overkill especially in HIDs as the higher wattage can distort to color and draw more electricity than it needs to killing your 'upgraded' ballast. moisture also looks like it can get in through that little hole, id suggest using some kind of rubber trim or something to get rid of the moisture problem.

+1 for doing it yourself
+1 for having the balls to do what you want to, its YOUR car right?
+1 for not caring what others think

Good job, glad you like it, may not be the style of others but if it makes you love your car more, thats what its all about. I applaud your ingenuity and for actually doing things others haven't done yet!

Looking forward to seeing what you do next.

Everyone else, why bother even posting negative things? there are nicer ways to tell him you dont like it, or that there could be problems.

Please be nice to others... golden rule.

That styrofoam situation needs to be addressed properly. There is no way that is gonna keep moisture out.

Because when people start taping Styrofoam to headlights they probably can not grasp simple logic.
