The head light lens cracking? Really? So how many cars you seen that happen to? You would think if any company that makes hid ballast would or might has some sort of disclaimer or something, right? Well, if you like the oem ballast a lot then you are more welcome to buy mine. I really don't care whether my new ones were made in Mexico I still like them. Lol man, I wondered if I just simply upgraded to an 35w system if I would have gotten this kind of reaction. I have seen plenty of members upgrade their head lights. Whether it was 35w or whatever. Didn't see any comments about how terrible the system was, oh cause they are made from china, omg 23k volts... Lol really guys? I can agree the styrofoam idea wasn't great. And have plans to replace them with a rubber type boot I just obtained. But to have comment against the slim ballast. My oem are absolutely fine, as well as the bulbs. If someone wants them pm me. I be happy to get rid of the boat anchors. ya know I am going to lower the price of them just so I can be rid of them. Thanks you all for comments. And until my car burns up in to giant fireball I think I will then reconsider changing my current ballasts out. Lmfao.

Ps. If they do end up CRACKing..lol it would be a better reason then to upgrade to the ap2 headlight. I'll just pay my deductible based on a mechanical malfunction and make my insurance buy me a new set. so like i said previously guys, it's all good!
That might be insurance fraud, but who knows

I would look at the styrofoam situation ASAP (I know you said you are in the process of devising something better). I had a problem with water getting into one of my headlights and the ballast shorting out, and it was due to just a worn out rubber seal between the ballast and the headlight.
Hey I appreciate the concern. And not plan to do anything at least till this weekend. And it's only fraud if I set my own car on fire! Lol for example: a woman was smoking in her car. But was distracted by something where she leaves her cigarette in the ash try. She forgets to put it out. And let's just say the car is on fire. Well, she comes back. Her car is in flames. And there's the fire Dept , cops, yadda yadda blah blah. Ok, did she comit fraud? Its her fault though. But she didn't intuitionally set her car on fire? Or did she? Hmmmm. Just don't know with that senario. Lol ya, know I have yet seen ANYOne throwing up a possible solution. When there has been plenty that have change out their oem system. What did you do to resolve the hole left? What's the correct way to fix it? Is there a correct way? I don't see it in the service manual. Did someone out there develop a rubberized plate that seals the hole but allowing an after market igniter to pass through? I know my Nissan 350z didnt have a ballast that left a hole in it's headlight.

Not trying to be a smart ass. But, rather haten on me a out the car, my mods, how stupid I am for buying aftermarket lights, blah, blah, blah, ok I get it. I haven't even had the chance to fix "the hole situation" yet which I indicated I was not going to leave the possible fire hazard on my lights. So, after I fix it. There still be disappointments that I should stay with the oem, you should have not boughtthat bright of a bulb, you should stop destroying your car, you should do this, you should do that..
Want to make something clear. One I find all this hilarious. So not mad, lol. Two, by upsetting any one with my comments. I am truly sorry. Really! You probably deserved it! No, no, no, no! Just kidding! Gosh! . In the end, which honestly I have literally said this statement so many times- ( laughing), it's my car, I have reason on some mods and some I don't. Cause I am bored, lol it's true. So, I have to drive the POS. And it's my POS! Lmfao. No, no, no, i don't really think my car is a POS. Not a perfect person, nor is anybody out there, I am a nice guy to know. Really This is true if thats hard to believe.

But, seriously any bright ideas. I welcome them. No ha ha here! Can't we all just get along and be friends? maybe? Lol.. Well, I am going to bed. It's 3:28am. So have a pleasant day, night, afternoon where ever you all may be. Cheers!

I get the fact that you have no taste or ingenuity when it comes to custom fitting and modding but...i find it hilarious you got high temp bulbs THINKING it was more visible light when in fact its less. so you have dimmer bulbs, and now vinyl on them...and the styrofoam.

You know what! I was going to be a smart ass with your statement, but decided to just let it go. I really could careless whether you think I have poor taste in mods. But I am only going to give you respect due that you own a Z car. And doing a fantastic engine mod on it. I love Z cars. So sorry that you have issues with me. If you would take the time and not be so judgmental you might be a cool guy I would like to get some advice on.

Ok for you Styrofoam solution, remove it go to a hobby store buy a piece of ABS plastic in BLACK and then go to an auto store and buy high temp silicone in BLACK and a rubber grommet in BLACK that will fit around the wires nice and snug. Then cut the ABS the shape of the opening or a little larger and drill a hole in it for the grommet then slide the wires through the grommet and place grommet in the hole, next take the high heat silicone and silicone the ABS over the hole and seal around it and the grommet really well. DONE. Oh yeah let it sit for a day before installing them to let it cure. Sorry I did not put in all the lol and lmfao after every line I guess I'm just not that clever. Now for my .02 for someone that came from a Viper like you said you had then to go to a S2000 and try and make it a 17 year old kids Civic is still funny. Should I put a LOL after that line I am not sure? I think everyone is busting your balls over the fact that the upgrades your doing are silly for a lack of a better term, I mean upgrading (down grading) the HID's then cover them with tint, and painting every piece that will come off the engine bay. Whats next the side mirrors and door handles, thank God the S does not have any side molding because I see that getting painted as well. One last thing try and proof read what you type before you click POST things might come out a little more clear. Again not hating its your car do what you want just don't get mad when the feedback is not what you expected.

Thanks for the info on replacing the cover. Appreciate your honest opinion. And again I am not mad. Lol <-- there it is! I am thinking about bagging the car actually and installing 20" rims. That would be so gangsta!

Oh on a serious note: I saw your car in Modified mag. Very nice build. Car must sound like a monster when cranked up? If you don't mind me asking, was the motor from a wrecked car or was it a crate motor?

Dude, bad idea. Sorry it's just that everything about the stock S2000 HID system is noted to be the best on the market. This is why it's components are the most popular for people doing halogen to HID conversions. Anything over 5K color temp and your vision goes to shit. No smartass comments here, just the facts.
