Low offset wheels gaining popularity
I've been seeing a lot of widebody action going on with low offset wheels and a lot of camber. (I myself might be going that route.) <-hypocrite.
I just wanted to throw it out there or at least remind people that moving your wheel from OEM like offsets will change your scrub radius drastically. It will increase your bearing wear, and increase unsprung weight. For a road car, there is also one really big negative. In the event of a front tire blow out because of the change in scrub radius,
your car will toe out to that side. Thus causing your car to move in whatever direction your blowout occured. Hopefully not into a busload of kids. With the OEM offset your car will want to toe in and leave you with some steer ability ... kinda like snowplowing. Also if I remember correctly Honda was kind of bragging about the s2k's "in wheel suspension". Supposedly being superior to other designs, by keeping unsprung weight within the wheel. Whatever, i'll get off the soapbox. For what it's worth.

I have missed all this low offset stuff. but i agree about the form over function argument. the s2000 was built amazingly from honda, why try and screw it up?
Plus aggressive fitment looks sick!
