im going to make more air go in to the intake but don't know anyone had done it. i don't know why Honda make the box so big but has something block it....anyone knows it?

 

what's blocking it?

you can only need so much air for the motor, most aftermarket intake are using the same diamete tube as oem(around 3 inch).

oem have to work around water induction, noise, etc


what are you plan for this btw?

 

when u open the air box u see a block b4 the air filter, i wondering if i cut it, it will more air flow though into intake

 

may be it calls induction or else, i seen pics about spoon air filter requests to remove it(not sure)...hehee sorry about my english

 

if you look at the elbow on the bottom of the air box lid there is a 90 degree elbow with a arc cut into it. that arc allows anything heavier than air (ie. rocks, sand, etc..) to collect into that side while the cleaner air goes to the intake. this is all assumption tho. i may be wrong

 

This is a common mod. It is called "gutting" the airbox. It is a good mod when also adding a Spoon style snorkle. Without the snorkle, you may not notice much difference.
