anyone installed this product and made their own brackets to attach to it that would fit an iphone? just ordered it and was wondering what kind of bracket shapes u guys attached to hold your iphone, ipod etc.

 

I have this bracket for my ipod video. I just went out and bought a universal mount that would normally suction cup to your windshield. I modiFRIED it to attach to the bracket and it works very well. The mount has a easy quick release for when i want to take it with me or throw it in the center console. Go to walmart they are like 10-15 bucks. Or get a nice one at the mac store.

 

on my old car i had the bracket and an iphone case that was neoprene-like on the back and fake leather on the front. I sewed the neoprene side through the holes in the bracket. worked great except you couldnt turn it on its side.

Nope but I have used ProClip's device holders with it. Currently using a powered Droid dock from them. Pricey but it works extremely well.
