I'm fairly certain that the torque you're feeling/speaking of with the ITB applications is just more punchiness for your butt-dyno because of the SERIOUSLY increased throttle response, and the fine honing of any tune for ITB's to be nicely dialed in. Throw the ITB'd car on a dyno, and I dont think you'll be seeing whopping torque figures, but probably a nicer distribution of it due to the tune. But who cares about dynos, all that matters is how it feels and responds
Who in this thread bought the car for torque, anyway? @_@

I don't know exactly, but i just added a J's wrapped header and highflow cat and J's 60RS duals. It has QUITE a bit more torque now it seems to me. I think the header is responsible for the improved feel more than the other components.
You might have(might) gained maybe 8-9lbs of tq. Its prob just the sound that makes it feel like that

For the OP. Gears are reallt the only way to get that more tq feel w/o doing swaps or FI. The price isnt bad(cheaper than a CF intake)

I agree with you, but midrange torque/power can, in fact, go WAY up with ITBs.

There's someone on here that had a gain of about 50 in the 5K-6K range. I'll try to find the thread later on...

Why would midrange matter in anything other than daily driving. When your doing any kind of racing your not going to be in your midrange...
if you actually believe that you havn't been racing enough

I'm sorry but I think we've seen enough of these threads. I don't see anything wrong with trying to learn all you can about whatever holds your interest, no matter how old you are. I just think you should search before you ask. This site is filled with TONS of info.
