Default Mounting CF wing on CF trunk

I just recently got a cf wing from a member on here. I believe this is the wing LINKY.
I also just got a CF trunk from a member, previous owner did not know the brand, and it has no badging. I got the trunk re cleared and took the wing to the painter to install it. He said that the trunk might crack, so he was not going to mount it. I've seen wings on cf trunks before, but they have been J's and ings and the like, with the mounting nearer the edge of the trunk.
Am I going to have a problem when I mount this wing?
Thanks.

You know what I think you should try it to see if downforce really works on the trunk Downforce

likely the trunk is going to flex, and yes could crack. You have to reinforce the center section of the trunk to mount the wing properly there.

with the center mounted spoiler there s more of a likely hood of cracking due to flexing. have the body sop put braces on the bottom of the trunk to alleviate the pressure but i usually do not recommend putting a spoiler like that on the trunk.

the js, ings, voltex are side mounted and the trunks are less prone to flexing at that point so there is a less chance of damaging the trunk.

Ah I see, that makes sense. I was afraid of that. I'm getting the trunk and spoiler back soon, whenever I go pick them up. What kind of bracing would I need back there so decrease chances of flex/cracking?

Wow thanks alot man. I did not expect at all to have a pic reference that quick! I love this community! Lol.
One last question, and by the way, thanks for all you guys help and info! What is the main goal of the bracing here? It looks like it takes some stress off the trunk and directs it to the trunk hinges? Or am I way off? Anyways, thanks again guys!

just put a metal plate where the wing mounts, or really large washers.
