You guys are right. After I wrote it, I left my computer. After thinking about what I wrote, I came back to make the correction. It was a rumor that I read a year ago, but as mentioned, there were no dyno sheets to prove it.

I would love to see a dyno as well. The sound of the HKS exhaust is by far the best I think. If it actually gains a little bit of power would be a lot more people buying it I would think. Hopefully a dyno will come out soon showing some gain. I'm sure if any it will be very small however. But at least it will be a little more justifiable if there is a small gain rather than a loss.

This might help.

Pictures are gone but from reading it, there is no power gain. The torque is flatter in some parts of the powerband though.

This exhaust should be banned from existence.

Even if it lost 2 whp, would you really notice that anywhere other than a dyno sheet pissing contest? Absolutely NOT.

The music it puts out is worth every penny it costs

I did expect the argument to start but let's try not to put it further. To some people, they buy it for performance gains but to some they don't mind sacrificing a bit of power for the lovely music. Anyways, as I stated in the beginning, I hope in the end everyone will agree to one answer? Also any more comments on 70mm > 60mm in both FI and NA applications?

I think the consensus exhaust for the most power/performance is to get a 70mm headerback exhaust made in titanium.

^ I agree with Chuhsi and when I installed the 70mm I experienced no loss in TQ

I have friends with the HKS and it sounds awsome, but I have never seen one make power on a dyno

FWIW - butt dyno's dont count when the car sounds faster you will think it is actually faster

To those of you who say you have the exhaust and want proof that it losses a little bit of power, Get off your lazy a** and go to a dyno then! How hard is that?

I do know what I have seen, and that is I watched a AP1 S2000 get a base line, then installed the HKS exhaust and re-dynoed, and the only thing it did was loose a little bit of HP and torque in some high spots. Basicly it made everything a little smoother. Then they installed a Fujita cold air tube and Dynoed once more and all combined the car made 3HP more peak and -1TQ but the mid range opened up a little more.
