new oil filter for s2000
I got my self a Christmas gift for the s2000. Royal Purple new line of oil filter for s2000. They have sizes for other cars available too. I will give them a call for my daily whip 05 crv-ex size. Actually, I can use this one for my 05 honda crv-ex too. A bit over kill but it will do the work. From the look of this oil filter, I would say that it is similar to k&n and mobil 1 oil fiters in size and shape. I also have a collection of k&n and mobil 1 oil filters. I will be installed this new RP oil filter in the Spring when I change the oil/filter for the s2000

Nice Xmas gift, i got me a bunch of detailing stuff
I've never have done an oil change but wondering what kind of filter do you need to buy for 04 S2000?
Is it the 10-2808 even for mobile1 or any other brand.
thx

Really? weighing the filter, there isn't really a way to get the exact amount of excess oil out of the filter that's just hanging around.
And you're going to trust this Honda inconsistency when changing your oil? Everybody is all about "trusting Honda" But coming from working in the industry, and realizing how not "certified" certified oils are used in places like Honda, Ford and Chevy..... I wouldn't.
I use to manage a place that worked with only changing oil. And in our area there were only two places that supplied oil. Speaking with them it was amazing that places like honda advertised "Honda Genuine oil" (as in the same stuff they used in the bottle you buy) and we using Pennzoil. Then the next Honda dealership, used Shell.
