No muffler drone??

I did it for weight, and only at the "important" events like spring nats and nationals. The two mufflers and the pipe that connects them weigh 44 lbs, so it is a significant amount of weight. But the previous owner already had flanges and a vband clamp installed so I just have to open the clamp, remove and clamp in the turn down. But still kind of a hassle so I never did it for local events.

And unless in competition where thousandths of a second can count, I would never do it. No noticeable improvement for HPDE driving really.

A friend use this on his autocross car. Used the OEM exhaust to just before the split and then had a muffler shop use a muffler shaped like a cherry bomb then run a longer straight section out the muffler until it end at the normal location of the bumper.
