That is a pretty cool idea. If only I had a spoiler to test it in first.

Hm does the truck not close itself if you drive around? It seems like it should because the car itself has a certain amount of downforce without a wing.

Once I got up to 70mph it closed all the way and the trunk light went off..

But someone without a spoiler would have to do this to confirm that if wing actually did it or if the wind presses down on the angled trunk enough to close it..

Every wing and spoiler is functional to an extent. I imagine the CR wing will produce downforce. I don't see why Honda would put it on the car if it didn't? And ducktail spoilers don't really create downforce, they just break the air away from the back of the car cleaner. A little drastic, but when I went from OEM trunk to a JDP spoiler, I noticed a huge buildup of dirt and dust on the back side of my car from the vortex it generates. And the trunk lid now stays clean, even in the rain. It just depends on what you're looking for.

The CR front lip and rear spoiler are proven to create down force as tested by Honda. But he is referring to the oem ap2 spoiler, which im sure at some speed it eventually does generate downforce.

the oem ap2 spoiler looks best with the hardtop IMO.

Or just take the car to a local vinyl shop and have them match as close as possible and get 10 dime size stickers then cover the holes. Costs about $10.00 as a flat fee for the vinyl.

Have had to do this on from my misguided perception that a 1 ft by 4ft aluminium ironing board looks good on an Integra...

The holes are already plugged with plastic buttons. I think vinyl will still be noticeable. I want something to fix the problem rather than cover it up. But I appreciate the input.

no. ours cars (and most cars) produce net lift at the rear, thats why wings are so effective because they kill the lift or add downforce depending on the wing/spoiler of course. i doubt any spoiler will add downforce on our cars but it should kill some lift (I have M.Sc in Aerodynamics)
