Sorry for the confusion.

Here is the explanation:
Aerodynamic devices do not work on their own. So for example, put a spoiler in the wind tunner its not going to produce any downforce (most likely). Attached to the back of a car though, totally different story. So lets say if a car is producing 0 lift (and hense of course 0 downforce) at the back, then adding a spoiler on the trunk will divert some more air upwards, thus pushing the car downwards (newtons 3rd law) and then it will produce net downforce at the rear. Well in the case of most cars, including the s2000, you see a lot of lift being produced at the rear. Adding a spoiler will help divert some air upwards and thus you get less lift being produced at the rear.

The key here is that the spoiler itself does not do anything but placed on the back of a car it acts as a lift killing (or downforce producing) device.

If you just have one hole on each side an OEM spoiler will hide them. I believe the OEM wing required two holes on each side, in which case you're looking at a new trunk and respray.

When I ran my Mugen SS wing I could definitely feel less turbulence in the cockpit. But it still probably didn't do enough to provide significant downforce.

the mugen changes alot about the car.. I routinely take my car over 100 and with mugen/without difference is night and day in high speed cornering.

it also cost me 2mpg- i used to get 23 on average, now its closer to 20

The CHP makes sure I rarely get the chance to drive 100+mph.

All you would need is the OEM spoiler to cover those holes, or a Mugen SS wing.
Pete- you know my opinion on this.... Mooogen

I lke the OEM accessory wing (of course I have it), but it is damn expensive for a relatively non-functional part. It over $700 list I believe, and then you still have to paint it.

Sorry for posting in this old thread but I didn't find any other talking about this wing.

Can anybody with this wing tell at least whether it really has a airfoil profile? I mean the shape of an inverted wing. This is the key point for me, because if it's the case if will be functional, perhaps little, but functional. I mean like the picture below. Thank you.

The AP2 accessory rear wing does provide a slight reduction in rear lift, but not much at all. Considering the much, much larger CR rear wing provides a 70% reduction in rear lift (meaning no "downforce" is generated, but lift is reduced...it's all relative), the AP2 accessory doesn't do much.
