Options to increase RPM limiter on AP2

You have three options:
1) hondata reflash
2) 4.44, 4.57 or 4.77 gears (you will have to shift but it will be worth it).
3) aem ems for the ap2.5. you can only have this installed in socal.

In this case I would go with the AEM EMS, expensive, but you can do everything from timing, fuel, redline etc... Also you could gain some really good whp at the same time given you find a good tuner.

How are gears going to increase redline? Hes trying to reduce shifting, with gears he will be shifting much much more....

My current stock '07 AP2 has KW coilover V3/stock RE050 tires.
$600 for Hondata seems like a good option to gain 16HP plus 300RPM redline.
I will do more research on customer experience and compatibility with '07.
I don't want to reduce the gearing, more shifting is not good for me as I am working on being "smoother". It is much easier to be smooth without shifting.
Elistan,
Thanks for compliment ; I was keeping up with Cayman-S (his stopwatch also showed 2:02 - 2:06 ranges) and Miata Turbo with race tires. December weather helped my tires. My favourite was turn-7, drifting in at 98-99MPH was scary but intoxicating. I never have the guts to do more as I have used up all the track-out plus if I messed up I may flip the car. I saw an instructor Spec-Miata flipped in turn-6 because his outside tires got caught in the mud (raining the day before).
Somebody told me that we should be able to do 2:01 if we practise more.
I timed an instructor GT-3 at 1:56.

I have the AEM and it's 5x more to get installed and dialed, but if you are doing a lot of engine work you need it.
