Going to buying this shortly myself. How is the quality and finish of the intake? Previous version had quality issues. Comments appreciated.

i was actually very impressed with the qaulity. its a very smooth texture and it has a very nice shiny finish. its extremetly light but it was actually pretty strong since we were pushing on it to fit. but overall yes its very good and its top end carbon fiber and the power makes up for the hood gap if you get youre let me know if you have a good gap too

Nothing fits like OEM. This particular intake seems to be a major pain. I recently removed my AUT cooling plate (scratching the intake box and hitting the hood latch) an replaced it with a Cusco cooling plate only to have more fitment issues (had to basically bend it to fit and hitting the hood latch too). Then I thought about a cold air intake, but the fact that you must cut up your car (even if it's just the liner) is ridiculous. Happy to say I'm now 100% OEM with a K&N drop in and it's never been better... and the hood actually closes like it should!
