The rearward most bar was probably a gt spec as the forward one (that replaced the stock bar) is most definitely a gt spec, has the badge on it. Hard to tell in the pics below but looks kinda blue as well.

Thanks guys - more and better pictures to come!!!

Guess I picked the right car to try and bring back to life. I love a challenge.... thank goodness.

Once again. I appreciate the help. input, opinions etc. Keep it coming.

What's the opinion of the cusco stuff?? I'm interested and wanting to use the "better," higher end accessories...

Perhaps this can be the (un-official) Forum project car.

I don't know about the right car, but it's definitely been brought back to life already. I would have the rest of the car inspected very thoroughly for more damage. Either way, if that bar was broken off or cut off, is ghetto as hell, so it doesn't give me much confidence in the previous owner. I wonder what else happened to it that you don't know about? better find out before you're driving down the street and your control arm or knuckle snaps.

Take a closer picture of those things I circled. I am really curious what the heck they are.
Looks like remnants of a Cusco style rear bar that was torn or cut off. I see blue and raw aluminum. Like i said, looks like this car has been through a lot!!

Yeah you are right. I was thinking it could be some bar that was cut but I couldn't remember seeing one that bolted there. Really bizarre that it was cut or torn off.

Cusco is solid stuff just harder to get a hold of now since there is no Cusco US.

This car is like a crime scene. At first glance you see the glaring thing but as you look closer more and more things stand out. I can definitely see if being formally boosted and it makes sense because of the gauges.

The ride height is really high as well. What are the offsets on the wheels and are the quarter panels actually cut like they should be for the over fenders?

It is possible they painted the axle cups but also possible if they were boosted that they broke one and replaced them hence the odd color. Who knows. How many owners has this thing had?

it would be highly unusual for someone to paint their axle cups green. i'm betting they're just some off-brand OEM replacement axles that use green cups.

My mechanic who is really quite good but admittedly doesn't know this car very well (we) had this on the rack (pictures) for
inspection. In general the car is solid other than the issues at hand you can see.

Don't know but will be checking this when car is back on the rack and pictures taken.

I have an interesting story about that that has been substantiated.... will be posting it shortly, kind of a long story.

It is probably inconsequential, but the blue wire on the O2 sensor is supposed to be routed across the top of the transmission. Nothing is wrong with it being under, but make sure its secure and not hanging down at all, if it snags on something then damage will occur obviously.

That means the clutch has probably been replaced...

Considering the thread hasn't had a reply in 3 years I'm going to guess no.
