I have the intake. Bought mine 3 years ago.
Let's see, fitment was good, with the exception of having to cut my hood (even though they say you don't need to), and having to cut my bumper a bit because the scoop was hitting it. Other then those 2 things, installation wasn't all that bad, and both problems were corrected pretty easily.
After having it for about 3 or 4 months, I noticed on the whale pnis part (from filter to TB), the clear resin had started to vanish. Exposing the carbon kevlar. It took about a year to get PWJDM to send me a replacement. (also had a problem with their engine heatshield, mount broke and the shield fell into my pullies, both items were replaced at the same time)
The only other real problem I hav with it is the filter gets incredibly dirty incredibly fast. I need to clean mine probably every 2 months.
Now other then those things, I really do like the intake. It looks great, and I actually like the BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAPpPPPPPPppPP sound.
I also bought it because during my research at the time, this intake was giving the best gains.

HOWEVER!!!!! If I was to do it all over again, I would either buy a cheaper intake and saved the rest of the money for suspension or tires, or saved all the money and bought some boost.

I don't know if any of that stuff will help you, but I figured I would share.

KaJe209,

What do you dislike about your AEM?

i honestly just dont like how it looks in the engine bay. plus being metal, its going to soak up warm air as the CF intake box wont
No. No it's not. Not enough to even worry about. Why do you think the CF box will not soak up heat as well?

because CF is not a good heat conductor as metal/aluminum is

i prob wont go boost since i dont believe in boosting any honda motor, unless it came like that from factory

The thermal mass of a thin-wall metal intake is nowhere near enough too worry about. Datalog IAT's with a cai. It's nothing. Once you get moving there is so much air exchange under the hood that it's not even worth worrying about.
