Default Quietcar - sound proofing mod

I was reading the mod post and noticed one of the mods was this stuff called Quietcar. It peaked my intrest because the guy said it reduced the road noise. I swapped my dif for a 4.56 and the whine means I have to turn my stock stereo up to drown it out. So I did a little research and found this discussion in S2KI (https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...ic=254880&st=0).

I purchased the stuff online and also got the Modifry tools to remove the interior. Did my trunk and hood this weekend. I can hear a difference and even turned my radio down on my drive to work today. Hoping that after it cures, I'll have even better results. I did the trunk and hood because I wanted to see if it really worked before pulling my seats and carpet out. So far, so good.

The Quietcar stuff works, it's quick and easy. Also cheap, relativily speaking.

How heavy is it? And what is the primary ingredient/sound-dampening agent?

15 lbs in the bottle (1 gallon) drys at about 8lbs. Or so the home page said. Mines a DD so not really too worried about weight.

Ugh, I really don't want a gallon of this stuff.

Do they sell it in smaller quantities anywhere?

Very popular. Brush on, and cheap.
