R200 Final Drive Change
#11
The R200(H?) in the 370Z is ~3/4" wider than the R200 from the 300zx/J30/Q45/240sx. The 3.692 may work better for you and the LSD's for the 350Z/370Z/G35/G37, etc. have room for more friction plates and are stronger (and more expensive). You axles will have to be shorter, but I expect if they're selling the wider diff they will know which axles to use.

What input are you looking for? 370Z diff would work well if you're ok with a 3.69 ratio. There are some aftermarket ratios as well. It's a strong diff, will hold 800 rwhp reliably. Stock viscous LSD is garbage, so I'd budget for an aftermarket diff.

Still looking for ideas here. I'm going to be running the 370z transmission kit offered by Inline Pro. I'm not really interested in swapping differentials since I'm assuming the mounts I have will no longer work at that point. The stock 370z's final drive is 3.692, so I'm assuming I need to be somewhat close to, if not lower than that to put down 800+whp in an orderly fashion. So back to the initial question. Which final drive do you guys recommend with this setup? Anyone on here have any personal experience?
