Yes, because AP2 subframe is stronger / stiffer.

 

i was hoping to find better pics as well, as i have an extra rear subframe i wanted to mod.

 

Look at the pics Sinji posted, that is the asm piece unpainted. You can see all the structural parts that were added instead of tubing. This will have almost if not just as much affect as the tubes.

This is also very similar to what Opera did to their whole car if you haven't checked that out yet.
