Default Replacing AP1 dash

Howdy, I purchased a AP1 a few months ago, the car is in excellent shape but its clear the dash has been repaired for what looks like straight cuts near the passenger airbag. I've seen a few AP1 dashboards on eBay just wondering is this a DIY job or do I need to need to take it to a collision shop to do it. Thoughts?

If you're good with hand tools and patient / meticulous it's easily possible. If you're not afraid to turn a wrench and take your time you can get it done. Just take reference pictures as you pull stuff apart and bag / label the hardware. If it was something I personally had to do I would feel confident about tackling the job; I plan on replacing my soft top myself. I'm sure dash removal / replacement can be found in the factory service manual, which is very easy to find on this site.

The dash is really easy to replace, especially since you don't care about the old one.

Get a good set of plastic tools and you'll be golden.
