Shiftknob and smoked sidemarkers are both great products. I couldn't be happier w/ tf from confirmation of payment to the items being received. for Rick

Rick is tops. I've bought Badges, Knob, Visor covers, Shift boot cover, Gears,Sidemarkers, Leather covered two tone steering wheel. Always responsive to emails and great service!

Howdy!

Figured this was a good thread to bump (vs. starting a new one). I just installed a Rick's perf/black/red-stitch shift boot (fantastic piece), and I want to do a matching center console.

I have an '07/AP2 car, and I see that Rick only makes an AP1 part - I'm wondering if it's close enough, that it might only need trimming (under the console to lay flat, clear the cup holder, etc.).

I read that several people have gone AP1>AP2 (and even the other way), so it seems like the general fitment is extremely close.

I'll probably contact Rick directly, but thought maybe someone might have already done it - heck, I'm willing to be the first

Rick is really really fast at replying to customer questions, so I'm sure you'll have an answer in no time.

got my knob a few days ago, only took 3 days to arrive. The difference in shifting is amazing, the price is a steal.

I've ordered through them multiple times and it's always excellent! The only thing I can say that disappoints me was that I had ordered smoked diffusers and sidemarkers early last week and they hadn't shipped out till today . I'm hoping they get to NJ by tomorrow or early wednesday at latest because I had an install scheduled for them.

I did *finally* get around to emailing Rick and he got immediately back to me on Monday morning (I sent it on Saturday evening, glad he takes the weekends off!).

Anyway, my question was about the center console fitment on AP1 vs. AP2 and this is the reply I got:

The fit is the same for both AP1 and AP2.

So it sounds like I'll be ordering my matching console this week!

so i finally decided to pick up a shift knob from ricks. ordered this past saturday night, and immediately got a confirmation email stating that since monday was a holiday, it would ship out tuesday, and get to hawaii in 2-3 days. I actually recieved my knob Tuesday morning.

I was very surprised to say the least. I will definitely be doing business again with ricks.
