Default Science of Speed Gauge Pillars

Hey guys, I am looking into purchasing a dual gauge pillar pretty soon here. I've been looking at the one from Science of Speed (http://www.scienceofspeed.com/produc...00/pillar_pod/) but wanted to hear if any of you guys have had any experience with them? Any input would be great. Thanks

I have it and am very happy with it. It matches the interior pretty well.

I have a single gauge pillar from SOS, bought it used from someone on these forums. It does match the other interior pieces very closely. I just really wish that someone made a pillar pod that straight-up replaced the factory a-pillar piece. All pillar pods (that I know of) are made to fit OVER the factory a-pillar requiring you to cut/drill holes in the factory unit to run the wires through and for gauge clearance. The SOS unit only requires one screw at the top to effectively hold the pillar pod to the stock a-pillar, and I can't remember but I think they include a little plastic cap cover for the screw so it hides it nicely.

I have one, not bad quality at all and matches nicely. CoolGuy is correct, it comes with a cap for the screw - I did have some problems trying to feed cables up and keep everything right, and my gauge is slightly cocked to the side (barely noticeable to most people) but given it's a self-tapping screw I don't want to risk messing up the hole.

The only one I've seen installed the color was off quite a bit. Looked grey compared to the black interior. Maybe they had a bad batch idk but the color was way off!

I have an auto meter dual gauge pod. Color is spot on. It also has the vent cut out for the window defrost which I don't think the SOS has.

I picked up a dual pillar pod from speedhut. I haven't completed the install of mine yet (waiting on gauges), but the color and test fit were very good. This piece came with 4 plastic push pins to hold the pod to the factory A pillar cover. I am not overly concerned by this since a previous owner had already attached some focal tweeters to the A pillars, and has already damaged mine. On a positive side, if you ever pull the A pillars, they look like fairly easy pieces to wrap in real CF and will cover the small holes required easily.

Also, I am putting premium series propsort gauges in the pod (oil temp and a clock since I have a MY00 AP1). Shouldn't have any issues with cutting the pod for gauge clearance as someone else mentions above.
