Bulge the hood? Im not quite sure I understand what your asking... But the hood closed looks the same as it did when I didnt have dampers.

My wife just ordered mine for my BDAY. They will be here tomorrow and I will put up a yay or nay. I can't imagine it being a nay. I am so ready to get these things installed!!!!

I think you'll find that the instructions and installation in general is about as straight forward as possible. However, if you run into any problems, please give us a call!
