I'm the first to post pictures of the install! $25 gift certificate and a T-Shirt here I come!!!

The install wasn't too bad. (It was really windy and I don't have a garage)
But it turned out great!

Left damper

Right damper

Left damper view towards engine bay. Alignment is straight.

Area where piston meets shock.

Socket and ball joint.

Couple videos. It was quite windy and the hood bounced a bit when the dampers opened up fully. It wasn't excessive and the dampers seem to hold where ever you position the hood when open. Being that it was windy, the dampers seem quite sturdy. I had to lift the hood at about 60% before the dampers opened up all the way to 75 degrees.

No issues in rubbing when I close the hood.

I picked mine up today from UPS and installed them in a couple of minutes tonight. One of the nicest and well engineered product from the aftermarket I have purchased. I am very very picky. The fit was perfect, the finish was great and the closure was fantastic. You can still even drop the hood as it says to do in the owners manual. No need to push it down.

I purchased one of the other sets a couple of years ago from another vendor and ended up tossing them in the trash.

Thanks Chris.

Just did my install as well. Lots of pics of open hoods, so I thought I would add a few of the closed hood to show how nicely the hood sits while closed.
Apologies for the water spots, we had some wicked storms coming through tonight, and the flash really highlights the water spots more than I would have liked.

and the obligatory hood up pic to show off my other new mod!

Ok, i was replacing the shitty TEIN dampers, when i tried to remove
the bolts on the front piece they wrung off. So if you tien dampers
chances are their going break. I tried drilling and taping them with no luck. These bolts are so soft they wont grip anything. I see a body shop
in my future.

helicoil it, or remove the captive nut and blaze, or epoxy a new one on the back.

I installed mine Saturday in less than 20 mins....... I could have done it sooner but I am lazy.....

Very nice product...super happy with it and it makes it sooooo easy to get to everything in the engine bay...

on to the pics:

this is with the hood closed-

this is with the hood latch released

the lowest point before weight pulls the hood down

All the way up

Some close ups

Is there any sort of recommended lubricant for the piston?
