Default Shaved antenna reception?

I was wondering if there were any members who have shaved antennas and still have the stock radio? I don't really listen any radio stations and when I installed my USAspec Bluetooth adapter it sounded like poopie. You think it's because I didn't have the antenna? Any suggestions on maybe a aftermarket antenna?
Looks so much better. />

I have no idea why it would... Did you double check your connections?

Yes everything was hooked up properly. I'm guessing the Bluetooth signal comes from the USAspec device. Have you or anyone you know of have a problem with the sound quality? It's was pitiful, I'm currently in a rental Camry and its spot on.

I removed my OEM antenna line and shaved the hole. I installed an aftermarket one that installs on the inside windshield. It's decent but no where near the quality of the OEM.
