Default Single outlet VS Dual outlet

Currently running an Invidia N1 dual outlet with 70mm test pipe and Injen CAI. I'm thinking about getting a new exhaust because the N1 is just a little too obnoxious. I was thinking about going to the Q300 but I'm not sure the change would be worth it. I just wanted some opinions on if I should stay dual outlet or switch over to single. My buddy says that single outlets have a better sound and more power across the board, but I've never really seen and dynos to prove it. Any thoughts?

Singles don't necessarily make more power than duals. I built many, many prototypes for my S2000 while developing my design (patent pending), and the one that made the most power was a dual. It even beat out a 3" muffler on a stick design (like the 3" Berk). Possibly more surprising is that the same dual is also the quietest of all the prototypes I built.

It isn't as loud as the one you have now but the HKS sounds amazing. My $.02

I had HKS Hi-power dual on my first S, and I loved it. This time around I'm trying out a single custom made cat-back. More or less comes down to product design rather than if it is dual or single.

Not to be an ass, but unless you're planning on selling those exhausts anytime soon, that doesn't really help us -- I would be one of your first customers btw

I hope to sell them soon, but I haven't really developed a plan yet. However, I do believe the Berk UHV (dual) would perform better than the Berk 3" single.

Gernby - More details !?!

We opted for the HKS 75mm single. It was lighter than OEM, larger piping and its surprisingly quiet compared to other > 70mm piping systems. I also used an exhaust cap to block it off.

Comedies or dramas? Coffee or tea? Sugar or Splenda? We need to stop entertaining these requests.

The only thing I have noticed that singles have over duals is lighter weight.
