the primary reason Mugen went with a hybrid - from their design concept text:

Objectives for the development of Mugen sports exhaust system.
Lighter weight.
Use of titanium material: Use stainless alloy for the high heat area and titanium material for the lower heat area in order to achieve a balance between the durability and lighter weight.

Most stainless singles you're looking at what, 20-32lbs depending on model, resonator etc...

Titanium singles are roughly anywhere from 5-12lbs

So it's probably safe to say half the weight in most cases.
