The monoflex is monotube, obviously. Monotube is generally a nicer design.
Besides that, I think the spring rates and damping are slightly better than the flex.
I think that the flexes had some issues with the damping getting much worse with age. I think the monoflex adressed that issue. Although, my friend's Miata with 4 year old flexes still rides great.
I have KW V3s personally and I love them. My Miata/Tein owning friend is in the S2000/KW market now. So...
I think either one of them is a great street coilover. My car sees a track day every ~1000 miles (I averaged it out). But I do like to drive it on the street a lot. It's not my DD by any means. It sees about 6k miles a year and I go thru tires every ~3-4k miles
. I love the ride on the street. I think that KW's overall quality is a little better and they come with a lifetime warranty IIRC. The spring rates are also a bit lower than the monoflex.
I've had flexes in the past on a different car and I feel that my KWs are a HUUUUGE step up.
However, you can't hard park as hard with the KWs. They aren't a full body adjustable coilover...so you can't really slam the car and expect it to ride nice. The Teins are full body adjustable.
If you want slammed and hard parked, buy a full body adjustable coilover regardless of anything else.

i beleive the only difference is weight, the mono's are lighter due to the aluminum shock body where as the flex's are steel. I have the flex's and love them.
