I read recent articles that wanted to put a tax on livestock because of there "emissions"

 

As stated earlier:

"I would just like everyone to reconsider what they are doing and before others start saying that "my car is driven only xx miles a day/month/year" or "there are many other sources of pollution that are cars are insignificant" I would like to note that, every bit counts and just because someone else is doing something wrong does not mean that you can too."

 

First of all its "their" not "there". Common mistake, but the sooner someone points it out to you, the sooner you'll use it correctly.

Second of all, that article/tax is just absurd and I believe most of us will agree on that. However, along the original point, test pipes are still bad. Like I said, I understand that there are many other causes out there and some of the much worse than cars, specifically s2000s but that does not excuse the action at all.

Also, as for big cars polluting more, it's a lot of math to figure out how much more and that may be valid but simply read above^ on why that is not the point of this post.

Taking out your catatlytic converter does not cause global warming.

It will cause higher pollution levels. Pollution does not cause global warming.

Global warming supposedly is caused by CO2 emmissions. The only way to reduce CO2 emmissions is to get better gas mileage or drive less.

That's why attempts to reduce CO2 production are a bunch of crap. CO2 reduction really equals energy reduction.

Liberals call for reducing CO2 production cause they don't want the truth known. What they really mean is they want to reduce energy production. This means underpowered cars and high energy prices, which are two things almost everyone hates.

The only way to get around this is to produce more power from nuclear plants which liberals also hate.

 

Wow, you are right. I stand very corrected about the difference between pollution and global warming. However, this now changes my view from killing the planet to killing those that inhabit it.

As for your views on liberals and such, thats for another night.

If you want to prevent global warming so much, sell your car, use that money to plant a bunch of trees and take public transportation.
