Food for thought, what about motorcycles? My bike did not have a cat, nor do any of my friends or many that I have seen. And no one said anything about SlidinS2k's comment about the dump trucks. (Or how about the POS cars/trucks people drive that probably don't have functioning emmissions equipment?)

 

temperature and climate changes are a natural cycle of our planet. while humans may not be the cause we may be accelerating the process... but there's no way to know for sure.

if you want to remove your cat converter, go for it. if you feel it's wrong, that's fine too. just don't try to impose your beliefs on others. that's where religion ####ed up and many people have been killed for no reason.

 

So if you see someone doing something thats wrong and it affects you and your family and the rest of the world you wont say anything about it? I expected responses like this. By pointing out the flaws in society doesn't necessarily put one a "high horse". Instead, I think such arguments simply justify actions that one knows is wrong but is still in denial about it.

 

What happens in 12-21-2012 other the Obama getting re-elected around that time (a good thing as far as I am concerned)? Are you talking about the Aztec calendar thing or some crazy Christian crap. Please explain.

I don't think there is an exact answer weather man causes global warming/cooling or just contributes to the natural forces of nature which are devistating each time a volcano blows. These things add more pollution to the atmosphere in one second than all of the man made pollution does in a century. The planet isn't static and evolves hotter/colder on a daily basis as it has always done since and even before the appearance of life.
I'm not smart enough or clever enough to argue this point to a group of scientist who have spent their very educated lives studying this phenomena but for now and for me at least it is still a question.
