Default Thinkin About getting ITB's

I'm thinking of getting ITB's for my AP1. What kind of things am I going to have to do to make this work? Cuz if its anything like boosting a car there is more to it than just bolting thime on an hitting the road. So any info on this would help me before I go wasting money.
Thanx , Kitt

This is a good question for the Modifications or JDM forum...a couple ITB guys hang out in there.

The Under the Hood forum is if you have problems with your car.

you're right. i'm pretty sure you'll need a full standalone ecu + have to shell out lots of money to have it tuned. thats the downside with itb's because the itb's already cost a lot lol

aem engine management. Becareful about itb. It might not be legal in some states for street car. Also you have to change engine oil alot more regularly. And it can affect your overall gas milage.

Why does the oil need to be changed more regularly with ITBs? Please educate me, as I am considering this too

From what I heard also is once you go ITB's you can't go back to stock? Maybe someone else can confirm this.

Because you're running the engine with literally no filter(s).

Basic parts you'll need:

1. ITB
2. Fuel rail, FPR, gauge
3. Injectors & clips
4. AEM EMS w/ UEGO is recommended but not required
5. Misc lines and fittings
6. A good tune

Changing the oil isn/t a big deal for me I'm on point with on-time O changes. Anyway so having ITB's is possible for a Daily. Any idea on about how much hp gain from this mod?
