This again?

A HFC will cost you a few bucks more, but it'll make nearly the power of a TP, not smell nearly as bad, and keep you on the right side of the law. For a daily driven car I would definitely go with a HFC. For a weekend only racer, a TP.

Agree with ^^^

On top of that, anytime you go on a group drive....TPs go in the back of the line because of the smell.

Yeah, the price is wayy down in comparison to HFC. People tend to stay away from tp just because of the smell and sound. I think I wouldn't mind the smell but the sound would probably kill me if any rasp were to be present

my06 still throws a cel with the test pipe even with the cel fex and 3 anti fouler and steel wool instead of them, so i had to take mine off, so if i were to buy again i would get a hfc
My HFC worked perfectly for 3 years on my '06 then threw a CEL. I installed double anti-foulers and had been CEL free for 2 months. Yesterday, I got another CEL and reset the ECU. I'm going to drive until I get another CEL then probably re-install the stock CAT. I had to replace the battery yesterday and hoping that had something to do with it. I doubt it though.
Bro, it sounds like a hassle. Dang, then again, some OEM parts aren't worth removing just because they are meant for the car. The battery does seem to cause a lot of problems. Around May, my battery died and somehow it short-circuited my air pump delete kit. ( previous owner had it on, didnt know about it until I had to smogg= huge pain in the ass ever!!!)

Yessssir! I know there's a great amount of threads on this topic but as you can see, people have different opinions. I merely was looking for consensus on the topic

I live in California (land of the stupid laws) and being on the right side of the law is stock cat

Technically, the HFC is also illegal. At least with the HFC ,if you can pass emmissions and the HFC isn't noted, you are within the law until it is noted. Of course, this may never happen and you have the knowledge that you are operating as a responsible citizen.

i was using a test pipe for the last 4 years and finally decided to get a HFC. i didnt mind paying the extra couple of hundred for something that, even though would fail visual inspection, is a lot more compliant with emissions and the enviroment. losing 3 hp wasent that big of a deal.
