Default Tuning after Header Install

I might not be posting this in the correct area, feel free to move it if so.

Just been plowing thhrough the forums and a few of my S2 buddies to find out if I would need to pick up an emu after installing a mugen header? I've read that for most bolt ons a ecu reset should sufficr and that the emu helps, but isn't neccessary.

Couldn't find a thread that was brought up about this, but I might be blind so your opinions/facts are much appreciated.

Currently only running a AEM V2 CAI and pre ordered the Greddy dual Spec Elites to keep a low profile, but still a nice clean look and sound.

If you want the most HP possible then go standalone. But no it isnt necessary.

You plowed through a few of your buddies?

I think the AP1's tend to run richer, so you should be okay. You will see more gains from a tune though.

Haha I knew I should have rephrashed that, for info. Just what they knew regarding it and experience with headers.

Most people are running the Apexi VAFC's? I've read a lot about the Greddy EManage and heard its great tuning tool, but I guess pricey?

I wouldn't expect much of a gain from any bolt-on (especially a header) without a tune. If you don't have enough money for the header and tune, then skip the header, and get only the tune. IMHO, it is the biggest bang for the buck even for a stock car.

Moneys not the issue just not trying to spend more than neccessary. If the AEM performs as well as the greddy, but greddy is twice as much.... That scenario... That's fine then I will probably get it tuned from Inline Pro out here..
