Upgraded from 07 SI to 04 S2000, mod recommandations?

Tire discussions are as contentious as engine, gearbox, and differential oil discussions. It's indisputable, though, that the car performs best on a minimum of Max Performance summer tires. For most of us Extreme Performance summer tires are overkill -- but overkill always works. They tend to wear faster and be nosier. Pick your level, they're all roughly the same price. Tire technology has improved significantly in the past 18 years since the first S2000 came out of the factory.
Here's my experience. I purchased my 2006 car in 2014 used with Dunlap Direzza Star Spec extreme summer tires tires on it which needed replacement. Went with the then darling Bridgestone RE-11A extremes, and followed somewhere around 12,000 miles with the current Bridgestone S-04 max summer tires. The Dunlaps were rough riding and slapped at every pavement crack. The RE-11As were a joy to drive, but, alas, superseded by the RE-71R tires noted to be very noisy. So I "dropped down" to the max-rated S-04s and don't notice any performance difference from the discontinued RE-11As. I'm running on "CR spec" tire widths (215F/255R). Not sure the extra 10m rear tread actually offers anything but should keep the rear end from sliding out a while longer.
Tires with directional tread patterns (little rotational arrows on the sidewall) tend to run better in the wet; those with asymmetric patterns ("outside" on the sidewall) tend to handle better the rest of the time. I prefer asymmetric.
Tire brand preference borders on emotional and there are few if any rational tire tests run on our cars. And brand names don't insure quality or performance across the entire brand name. You can see my choice above. The Michelin fan boys will jump on this in a few minutes to ensure it remains contentious.

Any recommendations for brands/tires? I finally got my S2K today from the dealer (they had to replace a strut which took them forever to get the part in). It's been raining non stop here in Baltimore and I took a corner going 15mph and started to fishtail lol. The tires that are currently on have good tread and their Make-Date is 2317 so they aren't that old.

Civics are for modding.
S2000s are for restoring and enjoying in stock form.

Boost it!!!! These engines are forged and very strong and can take 600+whp with no issues. This is not a k series. These engine do not respond to bolt on all motor mods at all.

The best mod I ever did to my 05 was talk with PuddyDad and get an upgraded diff with 4.44's...the next best was a single HKS exhaust. I love the sound and the butt feels... next was Buddy Club Race Spec coilovers and a Digrappa X Brace.... sorry to say you probably won't find a Digrappa anymore they are very rare as far as I know
