I hear ya on the Virginia Police issue - Big ass fines and bad attitude towards radar detectors. Thats why I usually do the West Virginia route - lots of curves, few if any Smokies. And I have always wondered how you "younguns" tolerated the ride in a track car on long trips! There is a way to get around that - get a trailer and a Ridgeline (I'm a Honda fan). That way you can still help the drinking team with their racing problem!

I'll keep the track day in mind for the trip back - you just never know, but last year I was driving in snow, and thats no fun! on the track or anywhere else!
I'm not a Honda fan(seriously)- Ridgeline can't tow poop! I bought a 28' enclosed trailer last year.

I used to tow with this, but I totalled it whilst towing the trailer.

My wife's new truck that I get to use. It's a 1500 that tows 10,400lbs.

I'd have to park it by the lake. The good part though, is that I have an actual bedframe in there. I sleep in the trailer when at the track. I even added an a/c unit this summer.

Much cleaner look then my CF hood (Siebon Mugen copy) and a lot more flow then my previous CF hood.

When a water drop would roll over the second vent when going 60mph the water drop was pushed up with so much force it was barley missing the window.

sounds like you are advocating the oem vented hood saying that air was being drawn out of the holes

And creating more turbulence.

Looks good on the yellow though. What track wheels do you run?

Front fenders unmodified

Rear fenders rolled (not flared)
Rear bumper bracket cut and moved aft.
Lowered on TEIN S-tech; bump stops unmodified
TOYO T1-Rs
Volk GT-7's
17x8+49 225 .5deg neg camber stock toe and caster
17x9+49 265 1.5deg neg cambers stock toe

And I never have had a problem with rubbing. ( FYI I auto cross average 1 to 2 times per month so I am pushing the suspension hard and still do not have any problems.)

With 1-1.2deg neg camber in the front I can run a 235
and with 2deg in the rear can run a 275

I will be stepping up to the 235/275 when these tires wear out.

If you only autox, why the front splitter? Did you make it yourself? Just the front splitter or does it include a more rearward underpan? Are you FI? I had those wheels on my NSX- they're not light.
