The Autoxes I run happen at an old airport so speeds are a bit higher then most and sometimes we have long high speed sweeping turns depending on who sets up the course

And we also use the entire area around here

I would say its

You may not need more camber/toe to have your wheels not rub, but I promise you you'd do better at the autox's with more.

OEM Vented Hood is the way to go... S2K or any other.

Right now I run with about 10deg of slip angle in the turns which is fast but on the edge of spinning.

I will be making some changes to get that down to about 5 deg.

Having the right tools and a best friend that is a sheet metal mechanic on the C-17 for 10 years has its advantages.

I really appreciate the info. After researching and looking a pics from various suppliers, I'm just as confused as ever! But thats my usual state, so its cool. My list of possiblities are J's (v-style), Top Secret, Veilside (take a chance), and Chargespeed. While the ASM and C-west hoods are good, I am looking for a more agressive look that either the Veilside or J's have. I am just not a fan of the drop center syling, but nice hoods just the same.
The Topsecret is interesting. It is rather rare, (not a bad thing) though it looks as though it preserves the OEM profile, while ducting the hood. The Chargespeed looks a great deal like the J's hood, which I like, and it would work better with the K&N FIPK intake on my car. the company has a good reputation. For me each hood has its positives and negatives.

---------------------------positive---------------------------negative
Veilside-----------Aerodynamic, agressive-----------possible fitment
Top Secret-------Unusual, OEM fitment---------------Not very agressive
J's Racing--------Agressive and fitment--------------K&N intake will not seal to hood
ChargeSpeed---agressive and looks-----------------fitment is an unknown?

Any opinions - speak up - you will help and you can't hurt my feelings!

an authentic J's racing one will be the most aggressive looking and if you get the dry carbon it will be very light. it might not seal with the FIPK, but i didn't like the FIPK anyway because i got some crazy bog after i put it on in the summer.

Did you have the J's hood when you installed the FIPK - if so, it was likely drawing air from the engine compartment - in the summer that can be some very hot air!

I do like the look of the J's hood, which kind of brings me back to the Chargspeed hood. I wonder if anyone out there has any experience with it?
