Default want to build it right from the start!

Hey hows it going! So i just got my 02 s2k i wanna build my it to get into the mid 300hp range and im looking for advice on the best way to go about. I want to build it right from the beginning so any advice that you can offer id appreciate it.I dont know much about this engine ive only had b-series in the past and i know the s2k were already tuned pretty well from the factory. Thanks!

n/a or boost, mid 300's is easier with boost even on a stock block with proper tuning.

I would first do all the maintenance on the car. Make sure its it tip top shape to add some power. The easiest and best way to make 300hp or over is to go FI. People with the Greddy kit usually make around 310-330 to the wheels with their kit. That kit is said to be very reliable also. That would be your best bet to make that power and still have some reliability.

First, learn to drive it stock. Do a couple of track days, autocross schools, etc. That's typically the weak link: stock the car is almost always better than the driver.

Thanks for tip, i wish hawaii had a track on oahu, the only track we have is on maui. But your definitely right. thanks

Do you recommend doing anything to the head first. I was planning on building the head then going FI.

Just buy a supercharger and call it a day. SOS, Kraftwerks, Vortech, Comptech. No engine work needed.
