I purchased my s2000 2 weeks ago and it had a couple mods, k&n intake, nardi wheel and this random exhaust/test pipe. Yes, for aome reason the previous owner decided to hack a TP and hack the end of this cat back off and weld in a connection for some reason….
Looks like an HKS Hi-Power single. I have one on my car and that looks very similar. I don't remember if my exhaust had any stampings or engravings on it or not denoting what it is/mfg'r/etc. I'm pretty certain that's what it is though; shame someone hacked it up like that - this is one of my favorite exhausts for the car in terms of sound.

yea it actually sounded really nice. No drone or anything just pretty loud. Im reverting everything back to stock so its kinda a hassle now that they cut the damn thing

I hear you...that's a huge shame....No idea why someone would do that. I'd still wanna think it's worth a couple hundred bucks.....Getting that section of piping replaced with a proper flange shouldn't cost much at all.
I'm still leaning on an HKS Hi-Power. The slash-cut tip is the biggest standout to me; you don't really see that on any of the other fartcan exhausts for this car (I'm sure someone will find some ridiculously obscure ebay exhaust to refute this)
