Default Exhausted!

14 months ago I moved to a H&S exhaust from a standard. I loved it, it made me giggle.

...but it wore off..

Two weeks ago, I fitted a decat pipe. I loved it, it made me giggle.

...little did I realise - during the fitting (I presume) the weld that joins the left pipe branch to the right pipe had split around 70% of the weld, leaving a 15mm gap where they branch off.

I drove around for a couple of weeks with pretty much a straight through exhaust. It seemed to be the best of both worlds - quiet when pootling, bonkers under "the beans".

I took it to have a rubber and a bolt replaced yesterday, and while on the ramp, discovered the split, so had it re-welded. I now have a decatted H&S exhaust, and it doesn't make me giggle anymore :-(

There's only one thing for it...I'm going to need a single pipe......

...then maybe open header...and ITB's.....and a section 59...

It's not the volume - it's the burbling and popping that I miss!!

OK and a bit of it is the volume.

I don't like the airbox lid off, though!

every now and again i get a crack as i heal&toe from the induction kit. cant get it todo it all the time, but it seems to be under certain weather and just catching VTEC right as i rev it.

huge smile when it happens. sad face when i want todo it but unable to.
i've done it (by accident) past a group of school girls and a cyclist - they both screamed the same
