I disagree with nightcrawler on the Lightweight flywheel. I will say though, that he is dead on about the new noises that can come with it.

Well, all I can say is I upgraded to better brakes:
SS brake lines
Slotted rotors
Hawk HPS pads
Dot 4 Motul 600 fluid

I thought the same thing Nightcrawler thought until I drove my friends S(same year, same color)that had the stock brakes and started braking a little aggressively. Come to find out his ABS kicked in instantaneously and I felt the diminished braking compared to mine. I don't remember when the last time my ABS(yes my ABS works) kicked in. My car stopped much more smoothly and on a dime!

I was told to stay clear of the super blue fluid. It comes stock on Porsche's and the first thing the owners do is swap it out. Too many stories of the fluid going bad after 1 track day.

Why not try another DOT 4 brake fluid?

I also have a brand new ap1('02) flywheel sitting in the garage still packaged up and ready to install. Waiting for the car to hit 50k miles to install or when my clutch starts to give out. Was told by many that it will make a difference and be perfectly mated to the ap2 motor/tranny.

SS brakelines? seriously? Not even pedal feel? I'm planning to get one of 'em. my brakes now feel really spongy and weak, a friend told me it will improve the pedal feel even in street driving.

Depending on how you drive the stock brakelines could wear out. So even new (non SS) lines might help, although since you would replace them anyhow, I would go with SS ones too!

Exactly what i am experiencing. The brakes feels so weak i'd have to push the pedal deep enough then the ABS kicks in. Boo to that.

Oh yeah i think AP2s will definitely benefit from upgrading into ap1 flywheels. the weight difference is obviously too big and atleast you'll still have the realibility of an OEM flywheel.

Sway bars are generally a semi-pointless mod, since we already kinda have one. But as someone said, a 25$ ebay will at the very least give you something to lean on.
There is a big difference between sway bars and strut tower bars. Learn it.

Perhaps you should read above before being a douche. I'm well aware of the difference. I said it was a typo, I'm at work and sometimes my hands move faster than my brain does. No need to be a dick when someone had already pointed out my mistake, and I clearly said OOPS TYPO.

It's a good thing you went 2 posts down to jump on the first mistake!

well I have had all sorts of flaming for just suggesting a bottom end rebuild, or brakes and suspension upgrade...

maybe they are not worth it dollar for dollar... but just what if im willing to pay a couple of grand for only a small improvement to the bottom end?

and what if the brakes and suspension won't be world's apart... but aftermarket will be much much lighter... and we all should know how much unsprung weight reduction can help handling, not just the power to weight ratio!?

For being on this site only 74 days you need to cool off. That will not get you anywhere on this site. Although if you would like to keep it up i can make sure you get banned.
