Can someone tell me what this part is and what this part does?



I am reffering to the 4 big "horn" like objects towards the top of the screen.

 

ITB's.

Well the actual horns are velocity stacks for the ITB's. I've always wanted a set with carbon fiber velocity stacks. They look soooo sexy

 

so this is a show / full race engine mod huh?

 

Those are individual throttle bodies, there are people that street their cars with these, but its dangerous ( rocks can fly into them or other fragments ) and it's VERY loud.

These are a good way to boost throttle response, and (this is arguable) a better flow of air to the engine. This mod MUST be tuned in order for you to gain the proper power. Without tuning, on some cars (some cars wont even start with them). You are right, they are mainly for "engine bling" but they do also serve a purpose. ITB's are run on alot of race cars.
