Strut brace. It was only an ebay one but it really didn't do much.

I still keep it on for looks though.

None of the strut tower bars really do anything for this car. So just saved money for something that does the same thing as a $400 one..
not true at all. a good strut tower brace keeps the car a lot more planted and stable when encountering imperfections in a turn, like expansion joints a road repair patches. they do quite a bit.

Not for this car really. A sway bar yes but not a strut tower bar. If you look right below the strut tower bar there is a massive brace already there..
Some cars improve a good bit from a strut tower bar but not the S2000.

yes, it can, and it has on my 09. exactly under the conditions i described. and if you don't know the difference between a tower bar and a sway bar ... well, i can't help you there. i guaranteee that if you put a solid tower bar on the S and drive it back to back under the conditions i described, that you WILL notice a substantial difference. and yes, there's a large cross member there, but look at it's placement versus the top anchor points of the shocks. tower bar works, and works GREAT. a thumbup mod, IF you know what it's for.

Possibly if you get one of the x brace ones it might slightly increase rigidity but not likely anything anyone will feel. If your happy with it's that's all that matters but there's a reason why most don't waste money on one for this car.
Yes I have had one before with no noticed improvements. Sway bar made a massive difference however.

tower and sway bars are not designed to do the same thing. i think many may confuse them because both are commonly referred to as "bars". kinda like saying "the strut tower brace did not do anything, but wow, those DOT race tires were amazing. and the radio i put in was a much better radio" one has nothing to do with the other. i appreciate you saying that the stb did nothing, and yes, the S2k has one of the best and most rigid chassis out there, however, in some circumstances, it can be made to be stiffer and or produce a handling characteristic over uneven road surfaces that is a real improvement over stock. come to chicago and we can doa back to back on my car, and i'll buy lunch and you can stay at my place. then you'll see i was not making anything up. ot: if you have not experienced chicago streets, you may not know how rough pavement can really get.
