Worst Mod You Ever Bought?
Worst mod on my car is the OEM style VIS carbon hood..... I bought my car with it, so who knows how long its been on there, but its faded yellow and looks terrable IMO. it is now cheaper for me to buy a new CF hood then get it restored (was quoted about 500-600 bucks by several shops). This is very common with VIS carbon fiber apperintly they dont put any/enough UV protectant in the gel/clear coat.... ohh well time to caugh up $1100 for a seibon vented hood....
If there's nothing wrong with it structurally, why not just have it painted over? If your car spends a significant amount of time in the sun, the Seibon hood will probably fade too eventually (my old Seibon TS-style one did).
surprised by the Misimoto radiator comments, i have one in my S and it keeps the car cooler(in FLA) and like the fact that it holds more fluid to help keep the car cooler. None of my mods are regrets but one was never installed -DC Header, and its for sale. => Mods in sig
Greddy turbo kit. Just like the other guys said, it's OK at low/mid rpm but dies off about the time you reach VTEC. Greddy makes a twin turbo setup for the Z that can be tuned to 500whp. 300whp with the S2000 kit just isn't enough to be worth the money. I'm having Greddy rebuild the turbo (after just 8 months of mild street driving) so I can sell the kit and get some of my money back. Oh, and the oil filter relocation bracket cracked when I tried to install an oil pressure gauge in one of the ports, so I had to upgrade to the InlinePro relo kit.
Skunk2 dual cat-back. It was like having a noise cannon mounted under the car. Definitely made a difference in how powerful the car felt, but the sound level was just crazy.

i have had the q300 for a while so I can't even notice a power loss. I would probably realize it if I went back to stock. Any one else experience this with the q300? I am about to get a test pipe/flashpro and tune. When you noticed the power loss did you have a test pipe and other mods?
3M clear bra on the headlights DO NOT PURCHASE THIS MOD EVER your expensive headlights will be ruined.
I paid 75$ to a professional shop to do it, then I did research and took it off before any damage happened, but my friend on this forums has this happen because he kept the 3m protection on long term

not my headlight, but basically if you put tape over them it traps the heat and eventually causes hairline cracks all over the lens, just buy a can of plexus and keep the headlights protected that way instead.
