Worst Mod You Ever Bought?
Secondly I have a love/hate relationship with my AEM CAI cause it looks great in polished form. Sounds great anytime I hit the throttle and if I go wot its like a god but the bad is driving paranoid over puddles during bad rain. In 2 years I only had one close call pulling sideways into a driveway which caused it to suck up water and my motor stalled and wouldnt turn on for awhille. Luckily after draining the fluids out there wasnt enough water to hydrolock but enough to scare the shit out of me so I m getting rid of it and going with PRM or CT to prevent water problems..
invidia exhaust and ebay eyelids. worst exhaust ever so i sold it and have a j's racing exhaust pending right now. i will let you know how that is. Also had tein springs getting the megan track coilovers (only got it since it was really dirt cheap and new). Let you know how those are too
pretty sure the packaging says for CHROME wheels only...not to make regular polished/painted wheels and turn them into black chrome.
rev hard turbo kit and mishimoto radiator. I have had to replace everything on the kit minus the intercooler piping (which I had to modify to fit) and the intercooler. everything else was crap to begin with and was replaced or broke and was replaced with something better. and the mishimoto because it is just plain crap (they have amazing customer service though- as much as i do not like their quality I have nothing but good things to say about the companies customer service policies) my first one blew three holes in various welds across the radiator, my second one came with defective radiator cap and smells of coolant constantly (no leaks for a year and a half) but everytime I drive it smells like coolant (I think it is the nipple thing for the overflow tank)
I learned my lesson to spend money wisely from my previous Prelude SH modding.
So I always try to stay with OEM (except cheap mods).
I regret getting "Koni yellow & H&R springs" because both gave me headaches from leaking and sagging.
Now I' m happy with a full coilover. (I would have gotten OEM shocks if they weren't so expensive)
I kinda regret my Mugen exhaust (sold) as it is loud for DD with passenger (sleepy wife).
(but great quality/sound for backroads-driving)
And i should've gotten a cf cooling plate with a snorkle instead of cf plate with a square openning.

The other worst mod I bought would be the Duplicolor paint kit to paint wheels black chrome...the paint did not stick at all, hence why I got Duplicolor wheel paint and painted them gray.

According to the comments this dry charger fits over the AEM filter. I used one of these on my 'actual' K&N FIPK and it worked great. Not only does it repel water it repels dirt, bugs, other small debris, babies... everything. If I was to ever run a true CAI (factory anyways) I wouldn't leave home without one of these.
If you try it out, let me know. If you already have and didn't like it - I'd like to hear why.

Yeah, it is a two-stage system...but the first stage didn't stick at all
I guess you really do need an actually chrome surface for it to work. It worked great on a spoon...this is what it was supposed to look like:
This is what happened:

I was doing it because I missed my old wheels and was hoping I could paint the stock wheels with the Duplicolor kit.
That turned out great on the spoon, comes out almost like the SBC coats.
I guess you need a chrome as it acts as a tint and the chrome adds the shine beneath the layers. Alloy wheels will just turned out a matte-like as it doesn't offer the shine.

My wife picked my "head rest windblocker" as my worst mod. (along with the keyhole covers)
well, it's only $20.00, so I don't regret.
I couldn't feel any difference in cabin winds.
I tinted them and put stickers on them for cosmetic effects.
