and yea - the q300v4 dual is super "stock like" quiet...

My apr cooling plate fits pretty well. It might be because it the the one for the snorkel cut out. But it fits pretty well.

I bought Spoon Sports Monoblock calipers. they sucked.. took them off after 1000 miles and went back stock. couldn't be happier
Really? Must have not been installed properly.
they were installed right. search around and you'll find others who bought and sold them as well. the looked awesome, great quality, just didn't stop very well. I had to space my wheels out 13mm so they rubbed when i hit a dip. i'm much happier with stock brakes

I think they made a bad batch of the Invidia q300- a buddy of mine has one and it sounds like the v1-crazy loud. yet another friend of mine has one and it is quite.

I'm pretty happy with my mods, I thought long and hard before I purchased anything but I regret taking my ride to certain shops, even shops that where highly recommended here by other local S2K owners.

Could you share your experience and elaborate on why the Spoon calipers sucked? I am very curious since this is one the mods I am actually looking forward in doing...

thanks in advance.
One of the main reasons to upgrade the S2000 brakes would be increased heat capacity to prevent cracking and brake fade...the Spoon calipers use stock size rotors, so they do not help in this regard. I do not have any direct experience with them, but if I was spending $1600 on a brake upgrade I would get the Stoptech 328mm kit. You get larger calipers, 2 piece larger rotors, and of course, greater pad area for about the same price. The Spoon calipers are supposed to have "better braking feel" and are supposedly lighter than stock, which would be their main advantages, but a lot of guys track on OEM brakes with upgraded pads because they are already pretty dang good. The Spoons do sure look pretty though!

I have only bought a few mods for the S, but the worst was definitely the carbon fiber dash kit...it looks ok, but damn am I embarrassed I paid so much money!

I also bought a Pioneer head unit with Bluetooth...this car is just too loud for such a thing

The other worst mod I bought would be the Duplicolor paint kit to paint wheels black chrome...the paint did not stick at all, hence why I got Duplicolor wheel paint and painted them gray.

Supposed to look like on the right, right:

Disaster:

Now:

Everything else has been good so far...Koyo radiator fit perfectly, SOS directional rotors seemed good quality although I didn't measure them to see if they were balanced or whatever, the Challenge lines were good.

K&N drop in filter has been proven on this forum to gain 7whp over stock, I dont think people realize that you really wont notice 7whp difference. However I can tell you when I cleaned my dirty K&N filter, there was QUITE a bit of a difference.

My mods are in my sig, this is my first car modding and I really dont regret any of them. The 75 shot was a pain in the ass for someone with my electrical retardedness to figure out, and I ran my nitrous line down the passenger side of the car, which meant next to the exhaust, so it wouldnt work if it was a hot day and the car had been running for awhile. I had to wrap some heat reflective tape around the lines, but it works great now.

However out of all of them, I was pretty upset with the results of wrapping the AP1 center console with the 3m carbon fiber wrap, and that was mostly because I did a pretty crappy job. Bought an AP2 center console and is much happier.

My other choice would be my first exhaust, the HKS exhaust with the resonator cut off. It droned so bad, I had headaches after driving it. Ive got the Q300 now and its the perfect exhaust for the S2k imo
