I might need a heart transplant soon on my 01 AP1, seen this post and got me thinking why not... What's need for the swap and how much is a good price for an AP2 engine? Thanks
Keep your AP1 fuel rail and everythings plug n play, you'll have to search on the average cost for a F22c because it varies by mileage, seller, condition etc(around 2k-3k) Good Luck!
Also, I'm not switching to the AP2 transmission nor will I be getting gears, this car is fun without them right now
If I understand then I would just keep my fuel rail and added to the AP2 motor but used everything else that comes with the AP2 motor ( sensors, intake manifold, Etc.) correct me if im wrong.. I'm all new to this Honda model..... Thanks..

Depending on the year of the AP2 engine, you might need to keep the sensors and valve cover of your old motor(I would it'll make the swap simple), unless youre gonna run K-Pro for EMS

I have an 02 AP1 and swapped in an 05 2.2 engine. I just swapped over all my AP1 parts because my intake manifold was ported. I left my harness on the manfold and swapped it over. Still running my AP1 computer. Car feels great. pulls through the entire power band and breaks loose a lot easier. I am running 4.57 gears but I was on my 2.0 as well. Car has a higher top speed now as well. I can tell the engine needs a tune cause it has some jumps in power. Just waiting on a header, already have AEM V2 intake, hondata thermal gasket, ported manifold, bigger TB, 70mm HFC, HKS 75mm exhaust. So ya it would love a tune. Oh ya running AP1 tranny still. Do it, you'll love it!!!

My latest mod(I shouldve updated months ago) was testing the F1 stage 2 clutch and 10-11 lbs flywheel combo. So far so good, I love the engagement of it. With the new year coming soon, I'll be hitting the dyno again, to establish a new baseline with the current(little) mods that I have now. My hopes are to compare the budget friendly VAFC2 to a full EMS. I know that EMS superior, however, I want to see how far off the VAFC2 is.

Picking up a stage 2 puddy 4.77 diff tomorrow, and will be scheduling another tune day next week, I'm running rich at wot, I'm hoping to aim for the 13.4-13.6 a/f range stay tuned

Edit: Seller of the diff got cold feet, I'm sticking with the stock diff. Tomorrow I will be talking with LHT Performance about building an exhaust

The deal with the 4.77s didn't happen so this took its place. Funny thing is I was just talking to LHT about fabbing me a custom 3" single, I guess women do listen....when they want LOL this thing sounds amazing btw

nice exhaust!

I would check the AFR's mine went from rich and leaned with VAFC with stock exhaust to nearly lean with 70mm exhaust

Thats a 2.0l engine, the exhaust probably it picked up 10hp over stock asnd 5HP+ over stock + VAFC

I'm having AP1 4.44's rear-end built atm if I don't like it maybe up for sale later this year
