The AP2 should kill the AP1 to 70, since both cars would have to shift to 3rd, but the AP2 would make better use of 3rd.

Depends on the driver
Launch would be critical.

Both these gear options suck!

Put the 4.44 in the ap1 and put an ap1 trans in the ap2. Now both cars are geared proper for a one shift to 60mph. The ap1 now has more gear multiplication over stock, and the ap2 has less. The ap1 needs gear multiplication due to less engine trq, the ap2 doesn’t. Both cars have the same hp. The ap1 has a higher rev limit, allowing a shorter gear to still work for the desired mph. The ap2 has a shorter rev limit and needs more gear to reach said mph. Now who wins?

70mph? who cares.

If the question was about which gear / car combo was better, I would totally agree with s2000junky. However, that wasn't the question, so I still firmly stand by my answer above.

from GPS data it seems like my old 2l with a 4.44 accelerates better than my car with a f22c with a ap1 transmission even though the ap1 dyno'd less?
The ap1 might have been 80lbs+ lighter though
