[QUOTE=Hero,Sep 18 2009, 09:19 AM] Ever stop to think that the heat in general will cause heat soak.

so would anyone say a fipk is better than a stock gutted airbox with a k&n filter and a password snorkal?

i gutted my airbox, added heat tape, k&n filter and spoon snorkal and seems to respond better up top and especially 60mph or faster.

i had or have both. the fipk made more power but the intake i have above didnt bog down in hot days. it all depends on how you define btter. better power gain? better consistency?

I've got the gutted stock box with a stock filter for now. All I've done is cut a hole in the passenger side of the box, and ran a flexible tube from there into the fenderwell behind the headlight.

The seat of my pants dyno feels like I got a lot less bog off the line.

But that could be the afore mentioned placebo effect.

^ i would chose the passwordjdm snorkel over that. here is why.
1. you have to cut your hood, and this you suck if you sold you car and parted it out before selling it.
2. YOU HAVE YOU CUT YOUR BUMER!!!!?????? seriously.

i mean if you plan to drive this car til the wheels fall off then go ahead it looks great, but i hope it doesnt cost $500.

even for the pwjdm, for 350 i would just get an intake.

yeah, but again for 350 i think where are better ways of spending that on a real intake. for 150 i got one off ebay that is carbon fiber. fitment is if-fy, some say its good, mine sucked but thats the same as pwjdm.
