Yeah, that head gasket is suspect. Why are they even running anything besides stock? You don't normally need an aftermarket headgasket for NA. And if it's any thicker than OEM, you'll be lowering your compression, which will sap power.

I am running a berk header and a test pipe and a buddy club single exit exhaust. I'm thinking it's 2.75.

As far as the head gasket goes. I did not build this motor. It came with the cometic head gasket. It doesn't say how thick it is on receipt. I could contact the previous owner and see if he knows.

Also we set the redline to 8300. I'm really not making any power after 7800.

I bought the engine with the car from a kid that just had it built. He couldn't afford to keep the car so i took it off his hands. Has about 2,000 miles on it.

No he actually didnt . He had the stock ecu with a jet computer chip and 440cc injectors. It felt really strong up top but had a bad sputter off the line. It wasn't driven much with this setup.
